Firstly, please do not transfer tokens to an unsupported exchange or to an address / wallet that does not allow you to interact with them easily. Remember that;

  • You can check the exchanges on which C20 is trading here.
  • C20 tokens can only interact with the Ethereum network.

If you store your tokens via hardware wallets such as the Ledger or Trezor, you can interact with MyEtherWallet or MyCrypto to transfer tokens elsewhere.

  1. Guide for Ledger Wallets
  2. Guide for Trezor Wallets

If you are doing this, or otherwise using MEW independently or with MetaMask, you can follow these instructions for generating transactions.

MetaMask has introduced some updates recently, to:

  • Make it possible to interact with Ledger or Trezor. Please see this article.
  • Make it possible to send tokens from MetaMask itself, once you have added them. Please see this article.

Generating transactions requires ETH in the address, to cover fees, regardless of where you are sending them from. There are two settings: Gas limit and GWEI. These refer to different mechanics. For token transfers it is recommended that you set the gas limit high, such as at 200,000. For GWEI settings, see this website.

For an overview of how fees operate on the Ethereum blockchain, please see this guide.

If you are using another Ethereum client such as Coinomi, Mist, etc., there should be instructions and guides released by the relevant company / party. If you are having difficulty, feel free to email us at [email protected] or follow-up with their support teams directly.
