Although this phrase is used very often, it is a bit of a misnomer to say that tokens are stored ‘in a wallet’. All tokens are stored on the blockchain (in our case, on the Ethereum blockchain).

All wallets simply provide access to the addresses that they control. You are able to see the tokens stored at a specific address either in your wallet or on an explorer tool such as Etherscan. Your wallet provides access to those addresses through the private keys that it controls. If you do not see any tokens on a tool such as Etherscan then that address likely does not have any tokens.

With the Invictus Wallet, we also display all relevant balances on the platform.

See the articles ‘What is a wallet?’ and ‘How does the Invictus Wallet work?’ in this section for more information.
